DanZ Centre student Policies and Procedures
Payment of Fees:
Annual registration fee on enrolment is RMB100.Tuition must be paid in advance by cash only.
No student may take a class until tuition is paid in full. Official receipts will be issued.(This is to be kept as record of payment)
Withdrawals and Refunds:
Once registration has been made there will be no refund for classes withdrawn. However, subject to prior consent of DanZ Centre, the student may transfer any unused lessons to another class offered by DanZ Centre subject to these classes being attended to within the same semester. We reserve the right to cancel lessons to any student without notice for any reason. Upon such cancellation, a pro-rata refund will be given for unused lessons.
Dress Code:
Required dance wear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Failure to wear required dancewear to class can result in students being asked to sit out the class . Repeated failure to wear required dancewear can result in termination of lessons, without any refund.
Attendance, Tardiness& Discipline:
Newcomers are welcome to observe the class before enrolling in a course. Subject to authorization from Artistic Director, a potential student may be permitted to join a trial class. The school reserves the right to have students who come late to class, sit out the class. Repeated tardiness may result in termination of lessons. A minimum attendance standard and decorum will be required (including dress rehearsals). If a student misses more than 3 classes (or required dress rehearsals) without written notice or lacks decorum, the school reserves the right to terminate lessons or disallow participation in a performance, without any refund.
Make Up Class:
Available only for classes that are cancelled by DanZ Centre. All classes will be made up within the semester.
Cancellation Policy (Private Lessons):
24 hours notice must be given For less than 24 hours notice, a 50% charge will apply. If less than 3 hours notice is given, full charge of class will apply.
Minimum Student Requirement:
For new/renewal classes, DanZ Centre requires a minimum of 8-10 students. If classes start with less than this minimum, DanZ Centre will inform you within 4 weeks of the class being opened as to whether or not the offering of this class will continue. If in the unfortunate event that we have to cancel classes due to the lack of students, we will refund the portion of the class paid, but not yet taken.
Care of Students:
DanZ Centre is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 5 must remain in the school during the classes. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their classes.
Injuries:
Parents, legal guardians of minors, students, and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after class time.
