Dear parents,
RE: Internal Exams - Week of May 24th – 30th, 2010 (All classes except creative movement and contemporary)
We have 6 more weeks to the end of the DanZ Centre 2009/2010 school year.... wow, how time really flies...
It seemed like only yesterday that we started with the school semester in August. The first semester was all about our kids getting familiar with the dance syllabus and technique. It finished off with parents & friends week in which parents were invited to come and observe your child in class.
The second semester started off with a bang as students prepared for our annual charity showcase entitled DanZ! Around the World.
Now, its time to wind the school year down. We will have two important activities before the school year end.
First, is the internal exams for all classes (except creative movement and contemporary) where we will test the kids on the knowledge and execution of their syllabus work. All students must take the internal exams in order to move up to the next grade for next school year. These exams will be held during regular class times. Please ensure that your child has the appropriate attire and presentation (e.g. stockings, hairstyle, shoes etc)
Second, we are once again inviting parents to come in to view the progress of your children in their dance class. The presentation classes will take place week of May 31 – June 6th. Our teachers will also be available to discuss any questions that parents may have about the progress their children have made and also what levels of dance should they be in at the next school year.
Please note that we will be handing out progress reports for all students and achievement certificates for those students that have done the full year of dance with DanZ Centre in the final week of class (week of June 7th). Only students who have completed 30 classes and passed internal exams will be given these certificates.
We thank you for all of your support for this school year. For those of you who will be moving away from Beijing, we wish you all the best in your new location. For those of you remaining in Beijing, we wish you a great summer and we hope to welcome you back again to our school in late August.
